How I Got Here

I majored in Social Welfare at UC Berkeley, where I examined and researched the factors that affect an individual's holistic well-being. During my degree, I got the opportunity to work for a psychologist.

After graduating, I worked at a non-profit organization that enabled me to focus on making healthcare accessible for women and people of color. During this time, I went to a graphic design seminar and fell in love. I began designing in my free time.

By being in the design space, I learned about User Experience design and realized this was the perfect way for me to marry my passion for design with my passion for wellness. I started graduate school Fall 2018, and graduated in Spring 2020.

What I've Learned

Other Things I love

In 2018, I wrote, designed and published my first poetry book "the geometry of being Black."

Music has had a huge impact in my life. I love Afrobeats, Folk Music, R&B, Jazz and Hip Hop.

I'm really interested in the intersection between racial trauma and mental health. I do research in this space.
